(Chief Executive Officer)
Marc Washbourne is the Managing Director of JobReady.
He has been with the company since 1999, moving into the Managing Director role in 2006.
In this time, he has overseen the continued growth of the company and now heads a team of 50 working to service a customer base of over 300 across Australia and beyond.
Marc holds a first-class bachelor degree from the University of Leeds and brings 20 years of experience in the software industry. He started his career at Cutting Edge Software in his native UK, working as a software developer contracted to Apple.
Despite his executive role, Marc is still very much involved in the day-to-day business and lives the JobReady mission ‘to empower our customers to improve lives through better skills and jobs.’ Marc is passionate about how both Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Employment Services can help Australians and works to deliver better technology to the sectors.
Often involved in JobReady’s key projects, Marc recently acted as the Director of the AVETARS (ACT Vocational Education and Training Administration Records System) software project, which JobReady developed for the ACT State Government and launched successfully in 2015.
Marc has a special interest in leadership, coaching and innovation and is an active member of the CEO Institute.
Since JobReady introduced the agile project methodology to their software development cycle, Tony has worked closely with development, quality assurance and production teams to further improve client interactions, build robust client relationships and streamline development projects.
After running a software training company through the 1990s, Tony became Universal Music’s Global IT Implementation Manager and travelled the world implementing music clearance and artist contact systems.
He has worked with JobReady since 2006 when he moved from the UK to manage JobReady’s rapid expansion.
Tony continues to work closely with ACT’s Department of Education on the AVETARS system (ACT Vocational Education and Training Administration Records System), which JobReady developed for the ACT State Government and launched successfully in January 2015.
Tony enjoys the occasional game of golf and coaching his daughters’ soccer teams.
In 2015, James became the Commercial Manager at JobReady, responsible for maintaining healthy and sustainable growth across the company’s suite of products and services.
Having arrived at JobReady in 2012, James’ background in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector led to an initial focus on expanding the reach of JobReady’s student management system for RTOs. With a sales and consulting focus, he worked with hundreds of education providers to successfully implement the JobReady platform and improve their business.
James has since progressed through a variety of roles including time in product management, business development and delivery, affording him a broad knowledge of the JobReady business. This experience across a range of disciplines and customer experiences has resulted in a greater understanding of what both the market and JobReady customers need in order to operate successfully.
James also manages the sales team and account management programs and is responsible for the overall JobReady market and partnerships strategy.
(Head of Product)
Chris McMillan is the Head of Product of JobReady, overseeing a team of Product Managers and Product Owners. Chris guides the vision and direction of key products at JobReady, managing the product roadmaps and overseeing sprint management and quality assurance, based on an deeply agile methodology.
Chris started out in the Employment and Training sector working for a Job Network provider. This gave Chris hands-on knowledge of the industry culture and needs and prepared him well for his extensive time at JobReady.
One on the longest-serving members having joined the company in 2003, Chris started out as software developer before moving into a product management.

Sam Giffney is Head of Technology of JobReady, overseeing the engineering team and JobReady’s technical strategy.
Sam joined JobReady in 2011 as Technical Lead on JobReady Active taking the product from greenfields to production release.
Sam has 15 years of experience developing enterprise application software in a variety of industries. This multi-disciplinary background brings fresh insight and perspective to the JobReady software. His interest in building education websites dates back to 1999 when he co-founded a website offering English lessons to Japanese speakers.
Sam has an extraordinary ability to decipher complex business rules and produce innovative solutions that both surprise and delight users.
Chris joined JobReady in 2010 following six years working in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) industry. He brings this experience to bear on a daily basis as he guides the JobReady Education and Education product as well as overseeing our support and education teams.
An expert in change management and business process design, he works directly with our clients to help implement best practice models for education administration and service. Throughout his time at JobReady, Chris has helped many providers realise new standards in compliance and delivery of education.
Chris is a passionate advocate for technology and is known as a progressive thinker with a strong vision for how technology can support the drive for quality in education. He is also a regular contributor to the education dialogue through both the JobReady blog and other forums, increasingly exerting influence throughout the broader industry.
Lenka joined JobReady in 2015 as part of our successful internship program. She now heads up the Quality Assurance team, working on software testing, QA and as a development-forward system analyst.
Originally from the Czech Republic, Lenka brings a strong academic background to JobReady, including a Masters of Information Technology from Charles Sturt University where she won the Executive Dean’s Award for Outstanding Academic Performance. Prior to IT, she studied mechanical and mathematical engineering and applies these detail-driven skills to the JobReady setting on a daily basis.
Lenka is known around the office for her dedication and passion for driving quality through our agile development cycle and is the gatekeeper of releases on multiple products. This approach to QA has helped raise the standard of our internal processes and has become an integral part of our continual improvement program for products and services at JobReady.
Despite the nature of her role, Lenka is a hugely popular member of the JobReady team and most developers set aside their differences on a Friday to share a drink with her (and discuss ways to get more of their work through QA the following week).
(Program Delivery Manager)
With over 12 years’ working in the Vocational Education and Training sector, Jess was employed in Victoria for an Australian Apprenticeship Support Service and the Department of Education and Training’s Higher Education & Skills Group. This has equipped Jess with invaluable experience in contract operations and compliance, developing and implementing accredited training products, including national training packages and accredited courses.
With a strong passion for Education and Employment sectors, Jess is determined to use her skills and experience to support JobReady clients with the tools to; service their stakeholders in the best possible way, increase efficiency and successfully manage contractual requirements.
In her spare time, Jess surrounds herself with family and close friends, always seeking good laughs and a catch up. To restore balance, Jess enjoys yoga, meditation and running…and completing her Degree in Business Mangement.
(National Business Development Manager)
National Business Development Manager Scott Dickenson is a technical sales consultant for JobReady. With over a decade experience in the operation of and compliance of Registered Training Organisations, Scott has worked or consulted with both small and large education businesses.
Having previously owned his own RTO, Scott has had experience with initial registrations, re-registrations, course accreditation, audits, AVETMISS and funded programs. This experience recently provided Scott the opportunity to provide consultancy services on an international project in developing VET sectors.
After 8 years of using JobReady and pushing the system hard to improve business operations, Scott recently joined the JobReady team to present the system he believes leads the industry in automation and reduction of administrative burdens.
Since commencing, he has worked closely with continuing and new JobReady clients to ensure that RTOs get the most out of the system for both their organisation and their students. Scott enjoys the occasional game of golf, fishing and reading.

Hayden is the National Business Development Manager at JobReady assigned with growing the business through positive and strategic partnerships as JobReady begins a new era in their long and successful history. In addition to business development, Hayden has extensive experience in Account Management and building long term relationships in both large companies and tech start-ups.
With over 10 years in the education industry, starting out as a classroom educator here and abroad, for the past 5 years, Hayden has been in Business Development Manager roles in both Sydney and Melbourne of growth educational software companies, focused on the K-12 & higher ed markets. A passion for digital technologies to support learning & teaching at all levels, plus making the customer & user experience a top priority, Hayden looks forward to assisting new clients streamline their operations to a smarter solution and transition to JobReady.
On a personal note, a proud father, but an embarrassing golf and tennis player!

In 2016, we welcomed Ben to the JobReady Team. Ben brought to JobReady more than twenty years’ experience in employment services, having worked with providers across Jobactive, disability and Indigenous employment services at a senior level.
Ben’s experience has allowed him to develop a profound understanding of the industry, systems, compliance and contractual requirements, as well as the ability to understand technology from a provider’s point of view. This deep understanding in key aspects of the employment industry allows Ben to provide an exceptional and unrivalled service to our clients.
Ben has a strong passion for providing opportunities to disadvantaged individuals. This strong passion, coupled with his wealth of experience, has seen him join part of the development and implementation of technology team aiming to deliver provider’s the tools to place and retain more jobseekers in employment.
Andrew Koster began his career at JobReady in 2010, undertaking a traineeship in Information Technology, and has since built strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Andrew’s commitment to our clients and understanding of the industries in which we operate has seen him work across multiple JobReady products, providing business and process solutions to our ever growing client base.
Andrew’s recent promotion to Product Owner of JobReady Active sees him coordinating product technical updates, client communications and overall product direction.
Peter joined the company in 2013 from an existing JobReady client, meaning that he arrived as a user and advocate for JobReady products. He immediately put this familiarity to use managing the Customer Experience Team, helping our clients get the most value from JobReady on a daily basis.
With a history of managing large teams, Pete is experienced in connecting with people and enjoys direct customer contact via JobReady’s education and support services. His determination to deliver quality outcomes for our clients resulted in a move to the account management team in 2015, where his industry experience and great passion for technology, has him focused not only on providing answers, but innovative solutions for our ever-growing customer base.
Outside of the JR offices, Pete’s time is best spent with family and friends, watching live sport, and firing up the homemade wood-fire pizza oven.
(Client Support Manager)
Rajat joined JobReady team toward the end of 2013 with a strong background in the VET industry.
Known for his strong work ethic and passion to get it right, Rajat is currently working as an Account Manager with an aim to provide the best customer experience possible to JobReady clients. Further to this, Rajat has been responsible for overseeing and coordinating the support team and also quality assurance and release management for the Education product.
He also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications.
Outside work, Rajat enjoys spending his spare time with family and friends, reading tech articles and working out.
Customer Support Analyst (Customer Experience/Education)
Kenneth joined the JobReady Team towards the end of 2015 as part of the technical support team following the completion of a Bachelors Degree in Computing (Information Systems).
Kenny brings great energy and enthusiasm to the role, as well as to the office, making him a popular member of the JobReady Team. He has a strong, varied skill set and contributes across multiple levels of service delivery, including support, education and projects.
Outside of JobReady, he enjoys spending his free time with his friends or checking out big visual novels (e.g. Western/Asian comics) and reading tech articles. He’s also another member the JobReady gaming community.
Customer Support Analyst (Customer Experience/Education)
Jeremy joined JobReady in 2015, during the final year of his degree in Information Technology and puts the skills he learned to good use in a technical support role across all of the JobReady products. This demands a high level of knowledge and expertise as well as a strong commitment to maintain that level.
Jeremy has spent time in service and works hard to deliver a great customer experience for all JobReady clients. He strongly believes that clients are a force for improvement and advocates a customer-centric approach to what we do here at JobReady.
Jeremy has mixed interests outside of work including cooking desserts and, like many of the JR team, is a video game aficionado.
(Customer/Technical Support Analyst)
Richie is a popular member of the JobReady team and effectively embodies all that we care about as a company.
Though very much coming from a technical background, Richie is also extremely sensitive to the needs of our clients and end users. This strong identification with users serves him well supporting clients and he exhibits great patience and understanding to deliver high-quality front line support.
He is very focussed on outcomes for clients and understands the importance of good communication and exceptional customer support. As an assertive customer himself, he also knows just how much value there is in delivering quality work on time. He shows a real determination to meet expectations and cares deeply about maintaining good relationships.
Richie has a strong passion for Employment Services industry and understands just how important it is in helping people better their lives. This passion is very evident to his colleagues and motivates him to strive for a product that offers efficiency and excellence to allow out clients to service the sector in the best possible way.
In what little spare time Richie has outside of work, he plays an awful lot of video games. He leads a ‘raid team’ in the massively popular multiplayer online game, Final Fantasy XIV and is a huge fan of the Final Fantasy series.
Nick joined the JobReady Team in early 2017 as a Marketing Intern. Having excelled throughout his 3 month internship, displaying his determination and willingness to learn and develop as a Marketer, Nick landed the position as the Graduate Marketing Coordinator.
Having recently completed a Bachelor of Commerce, Majoring in Marketing, Nick brings with him an enthusiastic and fresh approach to the marketing communication of the JobReady Brand. A creative thinker, tech fluent and excellent interpersonal communication skills come to mind when describing Nick, setting the foundation for an excellent Marketer.
Outside of the office environment, Nick is an advocate for football and is an avid Manchester United fan. This stems from his passion for teamwork, perfectly placing him to work alongside the sales team in delivering what clients seek to achieve.
