JobReady, a leading Australian tech company in education and employment backed by Pemba Capital Partners, has taken majority ownership in Development Beyond Learning (DBL). DBL is a global provider of professional development services for leaders, managers and young professionals with clients including AMP, Deutsche Bank and MasterCard.

JobReady will lend its strong tech capability to augment DBL’s online learning solutions. JobReady will expand its own service to enable educators to offer world-leading soft skills and foundational development resources that improve employability, particularly in young people.

Marc Washbourne, Chief Executive Officer of JobReady said, “We are excited to bring DBL into the JobReady group of companies. We were attracted to their future thinking on the education of young people and their incredibly passionate team. We believe soft skills are becoming increasingly valuable in the contemporary world of work. Providing resources that help young people to develop this capability is a critical yet often missing element in their ‘jobreadiness’.”

Josh Mackenzie, Chief Executive Officer of Development Beyond Learning said, “We’re thrilled at the technology capability JobReady brings to DBL to further strengthen our digital learning offering. We’re also thrilled about the hand in glove opportunity to bring our 12 years of experience in developing graduates in partnership with the world’s leading graduate employers to the education and employment sector through JobReady.”

DBL’s professional development thinking extends JobReady’s capability, adding a deeper human offering to its leading business management systems. The move also creates synergistic opportunities for JobReady’s recent investment in Esher House, a respected specialist behavioural science unit. Their work supports employers and educators to build mental resilience in employees and students through research in brain science.
