What you need to know for TCSI

The Tertiary Collection of Student Information or TCSI (pronounced ‘taxi’) is a joint project between the Department of Education, Skills and Employment (department) and Services Australia to transform how student information is collected.

TCSI is coming soon…

TCSI will be replacing the Higher Education Provider Client Assistance Tool (HEPCAT) for all education providers and the Centrelink Academic Reassessment Transformation (CART) for universities.

The TCSI project intends to build an ecosystem for education providers that will be simpler and more intuitive to use, improve data availability, resolve system deficiencies and reduce duplication.

From a student’s perspective it will make DHS student claims simpler and improve payment accuracy.

TCSI and JobReady

JobReady is registered with Govdex and has been a part of the TSCI working group since the start of the project in 2018.

Development has already commenced for this integration. We are working in collaboration with the ReadyTech Standards Committee to deliver a best practice approach.

We will be in contact with a further progress update next month.

What is required from you as an education provider?

The first phase has commenced as of 1 July you will need to to register in PRODA, which means creating an individual PRODA account.
